When Harold Duckworth decided to seriously renovate their offices, it was clear to them that staff would need to work from home for a few weeks. The established firm couldn’t compromise their professional communications and turned to Agile Comms to help them with a flexible cloud phone solution.
Since 1947, Harold Duckworth have built a solid reputation for delivering a top-quality range of professional accountancy services. Their team of professionals work from their Plymouth office, providing advice and services to a broad range of clients throughout the west country. With a recent change in ownership and an eye to modernizing and enhancing the business for their clients, a comprehensive refurbishment of the office premises was decided. The existing telephone system worked well but offered no off-site options for their calls.
Agile Comms were invited to help and delivered an intuitive and flexible CallSwitch Unified Communications (UC) Solution.
Every user in the firm can now make, take and manage their professional ‘landline’ calls over the internet, using either a desktop app or mobile app. Staff can operate from anywhere, including from home, on the road or in a remote location. The simple apps are quick to deploy and easy to learn, meaning the team could rapidly change their working habits, knowing that an inbound client enquiry, for example, won’t be missed.
With deadlines approaching fast, it was imperative that the system was live and functioning before walls started to come down. The simplicity of the solution and experience of the Agile team meant it was easy to swiftly deliver the service and meet the required deadline without compromising the onboarding experience for the staff.
The CallSwitch solution is loaded with a comprehensive range of services including instant messaging, video conferencing, application integrations and call recording, which help satisfy the long-term scalability demands of the firm.
Poor communications technology can be a serious barrier to the successful adoption of a hybrid-working strategy. As we look forward to the grand unveiling of the newly refurbished Harold Duckworth offices, it’s clear the firm is now in a much stronger position to consider its hybrid-working policies without having to compromise the communications experience of staff, clients or prospects. As the organisation continues to thrive and grow, they will be in a position to attract new talent with more flexible options, reduce cost of travel to and from the office and scale on their terms with our simple, short-term contract.
Graham Higgins, Director at Harold Duckworth said
“We decided to upgrade our offices to create a lighter, brighter work environment for both staff and clients. Unfortunately, this meant everyone had to work from home for a period of 8 weeks. Our current phone system would have made staying in touch with clients and collaborating with each other impossible. The solution implemented by Agile meant the team could work from home and accept calls just as easily as being in the office. Ollie and James were also superbly helpful setting the system up and quick to respond to any queries.”
James Fisher, Director at Agile Comms said
“It’s always exciting to see a client embrace a new system and they immediately see how it improves their working experience, especially when it’s quite a shift in technology from what was previously in place. Harold Duckworth are a pleasure to deal with and the CallSwitch solution fits so neatly into their business.”
